Quite a few familiar faces at the Mayoral cycle challenge which is great especially with all the interest we've had in bikes.
edit Nope I didn't hear Eden win a prize, she wasn't there, though some of her family was.
Sadly I couldn't get close enough to get a photo (probably why I didn't hear the name right.)
Gecko's are protected and can only be kept if captive bred and then only with a license.
We had a quick look with a few children at a time till everyone had seen and then he was released back to the wild, hopefully as close as we could reasonably get to the boat he was found on.

Hunting outside last week we found tigers (tiger beetles) and dragons (dragonflies). Inside our slugs were having a party.
From discussions with children and parents, it became obvious (as we had anticipated it would) that a lot of families had spent time at the beach. So we put out the sea creatures to see what conversations they would prompt.
