What did the Teachers do?
Well we survived the holiday break, as did the kindy frogs, slugs, crickets, fish and locusts who got regularly fed. New windows got put in to ensure they met the standard, and the drains got fixed. Sadly the playground rebuild wasn't able to go ahead as we still need more funds.
Meanwhile lots have been asking what we did in the holidays, so here's some of what I did from Ben's blog.

Snow Ball fight
Despite no snow we decided it was cold enough to have a snowball fight.
Today Lochie asked if we could have another one and this time, Sam, Caleb E, Callum, Tom (wicked aim and great dodging, knows how to hold his shots till you've thrown), Lochie (more great aim and good moderation pulling shots really well), Ollie and Charlie had a go.
Dodging lead by Tom who was an expert and tempering your throw for younger friends especially when in too close became the important lessons of focus today. We stopped for the occasional stung cheek or ear, if needed had a cuddle and then decided to keep going or do something else. We kept at it for over an hour till our arms were sore and we were to tired.
In the afternoon we shifted to bat and ball.

A cool picture-redesign David's wardrobe
I know what I say below about judging art, but I know I like this picture! It's me, by Greta.
Also me, by Meadow and under a rainbow in a rainbow jumper.

After seeing me in my new clothes Greta, Meadow and Abi decided to design a remodel of my wardrobe, because I looked funny in green.
Greta thought a pink and white striped top, Abi pink and purple, with pink pants and shoes, Meadow went for the rainbow look.

Welcome Michelle
Sharon's Farewell
On Friday we gathered to celebrate Sharon's time at Hunter Park and let her know how much we'll miss her, on her last day before she moves back to Waipawa Kindergarten on Monday.
Many families were able to make it and lovely messages came in from those who couldn't.

It was a day of big hugs and happy tears as we remembered all the things that make Sharon special to us.
Sharon has a special card for us, and has told us to watch out for her farewell present arriving soon.
