Standing together for quality ECE - Celebrating 25 years of the ECECA
I'd like to congratulate all who helped with the Early Childhood Education Collective Agreement. Going from workers who had to get a pay rise to reach the minimum wage to professional teachers with a professional wage as employers and employees worked together to lift the standards of Early Childhood Education in New Zealand, not for profit but for families and children. Here's a video from the ECE together website. It's a fascinating look at just how things have, and sadly haven't changed. People may recognise our association's Hayley, a great teacher and advocate for children.
